Project F-14 Has Begun
The oldskin Volks SD body I bought arrived yesterday and today I’m starting the customizing process on the body as well as my F-14 head. Since this will be my first time customizing a Super Dollfie, naturally I’m really nervous and my tiny work space (tiny kitchen table in tiny apartment kitchen) isn’t a very comfortable or acommodating work space, but I plan to make the most of it and give it my best shot.
I haven’t given the girl a name yet and I probably won’t until I’ve given her a faceup so for the moment I’m simply calling her F-14 and here she is…
She really is a very sweet head, it’s sad that Volks has to continue molds ;_; I hope you have fun with your project, I can’t wait to see the results!

She does have a very sweet face that reminds me of a lot of an old Macoto Takahashi illustration. It’s a shame that Volks discountined so many head molds but I like a lot of the new ones they’ve been adding in recent years so I can’t complain too much. Maybe she wasn’t very popular? Or maybe they just wanted to mix things up a bit and keep things interesting? Makes me wonder what molds they might stop making in the future.
